Huba huba; your mother was a beauty. I see where you get your good looks; after reading her obit, and knowing how devoted and selfless you have been, I know where you got your big heart, love, devotion, and compassion.
Hearing you speak of your mother's strength, and determination, I know you'll continue to make her proud and pull upon that same strength of spirit & determination to pull through this devastating time. Her legacy to you also enriched her life, and has made us all richer for knowing you.
Bless you my friend.

My buddy Ric, How very, very sad to hear about your mother dying. I never met her but you and I had many conversations about her. She was such an interesting person and was involved in so many good things in her life. I can see why you were so proud of her. How great that she was still able to get around until the very end. You were so lucky to have her as a mother and she was lucky to have you as a son. You made your mother very proud and you know that. I am so sorry to hear of all the recent deaths in your family since 2009. Right now it is impossible to think you will make it through your mothers death and the deaths of other family members, but God will be there when you reach out to him. Ric, I'm a great listener and I would love to hear some more stories about your mother and family. All the wonderful thoughts people are sending your way mean nothing right now. Save them and read them as the pain gets easier. There are many people who have said things from the heart and their thoughts will comfort you in time. My wish to you is for happy thoughts of your Mother. Someone once said don’t concentrate on the day she died (it was only one day) but remember she was alive for 96 years and there is so many happier things to remember about her and her life. Ginger

Ric, so sorry for the loss of your mother and I'm sure you will cherish all the wonderful years that you had with your mother. I never personally met her, but have heard a lot of wonderful things about her from you. You were a great son to her and I'm sure she loved you very much. Our life here on earth is only temporary and you'll see her again one day. Take care of yourself now.

Ric,
I’m so sorry for your loss. I was surprised to learn your mother was a real entrepreneur back in the day. She was definitely a survivor! I’m sure she taught you many great qualities and lessons throughout life. Now you must stand alone with all the patience, strength and courage she taught you. Take peace in knowing, not only did you know such a wonderful women, but she was your mother, your mentor, and “God” blessed you with her life for so many years. The days ahead will be tough but I promise you they will get easier. God Bless you!

Though I never met Laura personally, I have heard many loving accounts of her from her son, Ric. She had a wonderful kind and gentle spirit, a love for flowers and especially love for her family - which most certainly includes her kitties.
God has blessed so many people through Laura. She would put the needs of others before her own and cared deeply. To have her loving and caring spirit for over 96 years, is truly a blessing indeed.

Ric,
I am so sorry for your loss, you are a wonderful son and a true reflection of how wonderful your mother was to raise a devoted son who was there for his mom everyday. I know many times, during a gig, the music would stop so you could place that important call to your mom at 9:30 PM. Always remember you were there for your mom and she had that comfort of knowing how much your cared and loved her to the very end. I'm sure she is smiling down from heaven and thanking God for such a devoted loving son.
