I had the pleasure of spending time with Rena during my short time of employment at HSCC from beginning of Nov 2009 to beginning of December 2009. During this time, when Rena needed extra attention due to confusion,I spent time with her. As a member of the resident activities department, I would bring Rena to group activities and spend time with her individually conversing with her and painting her fingernails.I truly enjoyed comforting and talking with Rena, she was truly a beautiful lady inside and out. One day as we talked, I finally realized where I recognized Rena from. I graduated Southwestern H.S. in 1990 and she smiled with pride when I told her that I knew she fed and took care of many kids while there. I wish to offer my sincere sympathy to Rena's loved ones.

I knew Versil, when she was a freind/neighbor of my mother, Sylvia Rupe, at Gallia Manor. Versil was a wonderful friend to my mother and brought her lots of hours of companionship. They are both in heaven with their Lord. May God be with all of you as you grieve the passing of a wonderful Lady. My prayers are with you. Ruth

Oh what wonderful memories I have of Versil. She worked in the cafeteria when I attended SHS, I had the honor of working in the cafeteria then along side she and Mrs. Newberry. Those two were the best cooks any school could have had. My deepest sympathy to you her family at this. Keep those wonderful memories you have in your heart because they will always bring a smile to your face and a warmth to your heart.
My Deepest Sympathy,

Loretta and family,
Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Versil was such a dear friend and Stacys' birthday buddy. I have so many fond memories/ballgames,alumni reunions and of course "the raisin pie". We are out of town but will be thinking of all of you. Please tell Bud "hello". We are sending a donation to the Southwestern Scholarship Fund in Versils' memory.

On behalf of Opal Slagle, we are extending our sympathy to Versil's family. Opal and Versil had many visits when they both lived in Gallipolis. They spent lots of time reminiscing about their childhood and days in the Waterloo area. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Opal Slagle and Janet Hill
